The Spektrum batteries have new generation IC3 or IC5 connectors at the factory, but are compatible with the older generation of EC3 and EC5 connectors.

Using the Spektrum Smart System, the Smart capable charger recognizes the Spektrum Smart Series battery and automatically sets the correct charging parameters. This prevents charging with the wrong settings.

Nevertheless, the charging parameters of the Spektrum Smart LiPo battery can be adjusted. In addition, automatic discharging to the storage voltage can be programmed via the Spektrum Smart charger, which can significantly extend the battery life.
