The tapered wing edges are just one of the new improvements that allow a much higher flying range in stronger winds. Other innovations include the T-Canalizer and the new Sideforce generators, which provide better stability in all flight conditions.

Chris Jewett’s original world-renowned 32“ Crack Yak-55 was the predecessor’and is now being produced a number bigger’in the form of the new Big Crack Yak.

The model is very similar to the previous 39“ model, but it convinces with its new hardware and its new design with many details such as adjustable push rods, and new EPP tensioning techniques for easy assembly. In the design, the ailerons have been moved to give the aircraft a clean look. The all-round flight capability has been significantly enhanced to create a sense of incredible control. A improved roll rate was achieved with the addition of outer opposing tabs. This model was designed for pilots who want to learn the next step, but also for those who alternatively chose a 3D balsa model.

Echter Funflyer

Die Big Crack Yak ist enorm wendig. Man kann mit ihr alle möglichen und unmöglichen Figuren fliegen. Messerflug, Messerflugloopings sind absolut kein Problem. Auch harte Landungen übersteht das Modell relativ problemlos. Das Fliegen mit der Yak macht richtig Spaß.

Toller Shockflyer für draußen

Ich war erst skeptisch, ob sich der Flieger mit Stuntmaster und Parkmaster messen kann. Nach ein paar Flügen bin ich positiv überrascht. Die Big Crack Yak hat eine enorme Rollrate, ist mindestens so wendig wie ihre kleineren Ausgaben, fliegt aber auch sehr stabil geradeaus und kann sich gegen leichten Wind gut behaupten. Lässt im 3D keine Wünsche offen, man kann damit sogar auch ganz gut klassischen Kunstflug üben. Echt zu empfehlen.
Für die Halle natürlich etwas zu groß und zu schwer.
