The cable has a diameter of 1.5 mm² and a length of approx. 30 cm. At both ends there is a welded MPX plug.
PIK safety plug-in system from PowerBox Systems Gmbh sets new standards!
Based on the well-known MPX high-current connector, PowerBox Systems has further developed this connector system. The idea of casting the MPX and Deans connector system using the hot melt process was registered as a design at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office in the Register of Designs (file number DE 40 2010 000 949.5, legal owner: PowerBox-Systems GmbH).
The original MPX or Dean high-current connectors are professionally soldered by PowerBox using a high-quality connection cable.
The soldered and tested plug is then inserted into a high-pressure injection mould and pressed under pressure and heat in a special process using plastic developed for this purpose. The result is an incredibly stable, robust and durable connector system. Neither mechanical stress nor environmental influences such as heat or moisture can negatively influence this connection. This potting compound is resistant to vibrations, oxidation, oils, acids, alkalis and fuels. Temperature resistant from -30° C to 90° C. The area at risk of breakage directly at the solder joint is therefore absolutely secure.
Such hot melt castings can be found on all safety-relevant plug connections in man-bearing aircraft construction and in the automotive sector.
Shrink tubing must not be used here. All model builders should take this to heart and opt for our professional connector systems. The injection-moulded design has integrated recessed grips and is practical and convenient for safe insertion and removal.
We are aware that with this development we have taken the safety of model making another step forward.
The production of these plug-in systems at PowerBox Systems is also subject to the DIN ISO 9001:2008 quality standard, as are all electronic products developed and manufactured in-house by PowerBox.
Please also note the fuse clip developed by PowerBox, the clip developed in 2003 in conjunction with the MPX contacts provides an absolutely secure connection.
