Plasti Dip Electrical Tape insulates and protects electronic components - cables, connectors, circuit boards, sensors, distributors, battery packs, antennas, and much more. Plasti Dip is a liquid rubber that adheres to numerous substrates. Plasti Dip Liquid Tape is applied by brushing and is odourless when dry. The coating insulates 50kV/mm (VDE tested).
Fields of application:
- Electrical engineering
- Industry
- model construction
What are the advantages of Plasti Dip?
- UV and weather resistant
- Protects against moisture, acids, wear and electrical voltage
- Easily removable
- Temperature resistant: -30°C to +80°C
Application / Preparation:
Wires, terminals or other surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, wax and loose rust. Apply Plasti Dip only when switched off. Ensure that no tension is applied. PlastiDip Liquid Tape is applied by spraying, dipping or brushing over the full or partial surface, depending on the product. Apply in several coats, allow to dry for 10 to 20 minutes. Apply at least 2 coats, then allow to dry for 4 to 24 hours before use.
Performix Plasti Dip is already diluted and can be used immediately. By dipping (the so-called dipping) the dipped object is coated with the Plasti Dip and is thus protected against electric current and corrosion. This process is mainly used in the hobby and electronics sector.
Due to its rubberising, protective, sealing, insulating and damping effect, Plasti Dip has already proven its worth for 40 years in the most diverse areas of application. The liquid rubber is particularly popular as a spray film for vehicles, e.g. as a rim film for sealing rims.
