The Jeti Max BEC 2 is a battery backer with voltage regulation. The ON/OFF switch is in the form of an MPX connector. For maximum switching reliability, the ON state is achieved with the MPX jumper removed. 2 independent 2S LiPo / LiIon batteries can be used for the power supply. The incoming voltage and the currently active battery are indicated by a row of LEDs.

Technical info on maximum current carrying capacity for linear voltage regulators (not S-BEC):
The maximum current is the maximum power dissipation in Watt divided by the difference between input voltage (battery voltage) and the set output voltage. This applies to normal cooling air removal, so never wrap linear voltage regulators in foam or similar material! Example here: max. power dissipation at MAX BEC 2 = 20W battery voltage LiPo = 7.2V set output voltage = 5.4V max current > 20W : 1.8V (differential voltage) = 11.11A.
