Now the connection between the rudder lever and the servo lever can be made quickly and safely. Our CFRP ball joint adapters with fixed injected M2 threaded rod M2 x16 (only 1.2g) can easily be glued onto the detached CFRP tube 3x2 with a little 5min epoxy or thick super liver e.g. Pattex Classic.

The mounted CFRP ball joint adapter effectively prevents the CFRP pipes from bursting. The resulting servo rudder lever connection is not only light and stable, but also prevents premature wear of the servo gear due to its low mass.

The threaded rods M2,5x16 are manufactured on CNC machines from stainless steel. A deviation of the M2 thread as it is usual with many M2 meter rods and represents a large uncertainty factor is excluded with our design. In each package (4 pcs.) we add a special key to facilitate the assembly and fine adjustment of the ball joints in the model.

The CFK ball joint adapters can be painted without any problems. Our adapters are made of highly compressed carbon fibre plastic (nylon with 45% carbon fibre content). At 300 °C and under high pressure (1800 bar) the caps get their appearance in hardened stainless steel moulds. Since this process has similarities with the manufacture of highly stressed components in large aircraft construction, we have used it for the manufacture of our threaded caps. The result is a high-strength component that does not have to fear comparison with duralaluminium. However, it is lighter and more vibration resistant.

All CFK components are manufactured in Germany on state-of-the-art CNC machines.
