The history of Chevy trucks dates back to 1918. In the years that followed, many vehicles were developed that became icons. After World War II, the United States experienced a "golden age" in the 1950s and 1960s. People began to dream of ease and luxury again. In this era, building cars required a lot of attention and, during the development, love to the smallest detail. It was also during this time that the Chevrolet Apache was created, which remains an absolute classic to this day. And now, almost 60 years later, comes the Apache from FMS, a detailed RC model in 1:18 scale that pays tribute to the original.
The Apache 1:18 was officially licensed by Chevrolet. That is why a scale appearance is one of the most important factors in this model. Numerous scale details such as the wrap-around windshield, hinged cargo bed, classic grille, exterior mirrors and wheel hubs make this scale model look good not only in action, but also in any display case. The true-to-the-original look is rounded off by the functional lighting system (headlights, turn signals, taillights), which can be controlled via the remote control. The interior of the spacious cabin also features many details, such as a true-to-scale center console, driver's seats and a steering wheel. Simple, but classically beautiful - just like the original.
The 1:18 Apache features a rigid ladder frame chassis. The metal chassis has been extended to accommodate the longer wheelbase and 6x6 all-wheel drive system. The powerful and waterproof metal gear servo provides precise steering. At the same time, the low-set center of gravity provides increased driving stability on any terrain - even very wet terrain thanks to the waterproof electronics. The soft rubber compound of the all-terrain tires ensures low wear on the one hand and ideal grip on both asphalt and off-road on the other.
